  • Authored research proposal which was used as guidance for
  • Designed and implemented greenhouse trial on the effect of various application methods of biochar on radish growth
  • Developed academic poster and presented results of research at a student forum

Research on the effect of zebra mussels on lead concentrations in Cayuga Lake

  • Authored research proposal which was implemented by the Environmental Toxicology course
  • Took the lead on gathering materials, implementing the study, and collecting and organizing data
  • Wrote final report on research process and results

First-authored the Management Plan for the Ithaca College Natural Lands (ICNL) Committee

  • Conducted case study of local land use practices and applied them to Ithaca College
  • Presented “Management Proposal” to the ICNL Committee, where it was voted on and accepted as the official Management Plan for the college’s natural areas
  • Management Plan was accepted by the Dean of Humanities and Sciences and is currently being reviewed by the Office of Financial Affairs

Received Commit-to-Change Career Development Grant

  • Authored grant proposal for materials to redesign a greenhouse at the Ithaca College Organic Garden
  • Kept a budget and timeline for the grant project
  • Led group of students in carrying out work and keeping a budget and timeline for the project
